Reflection

The programming/coding/software Universe tends to be very project driven. Those projects are almost always divided up into smaller, more manageable teams of programmers and engineers.

Each of those teams is typically managed by a Program Manager.

It is very common for teams to have a "Reflection" at the end of a particular project and to have VERY frank (open and honest) conversation about what went well and what didn't go well.

That goes for the entire team as well as individual members of the team.

The project manager generally leads the reflection

Let's take a few moments to read about Reflection

Towards that end, and because this IS a CTE class and it's my job to get you thinking about software coding type careers, I'd like you to conduct a basic reflection on your project work so far.

Please conduct your own, thoughtful reflection on your work on the Platform Game project:

Use THIS Thoughtful Writing page to guide your work

  • Please analyze the work that you did that went well (this should go for at least one paragraph and most likely two). Be sure and include specific and detailed examples of what went well AND discuss why those examples are good illustrations of your success (or successes)

  • Please analyze the work that didn't go well or that you flat out did poorly (this should go for at least one paragraph and most likely two). Be sure and include specific and detailed examples of those challenges AND discuss why those examples are good illustrations of your failures or problem areas.

    • As part of your analysis, please now relate how you attempted to meet your challenges.

    • Now please relate how well you learned from your errors, problems, failures.
